Products Registration Dept., Information Dept.,
Fermentation Lab, Synthesis Lab, Pharmaceutical
Preparation Lab, and Pilot-scale Workshop, mainly
responsible for new products research, projects,
experiments, clinic, registration, and pilot production
etc. |
| Researchers: There are more than 50 professionals,
among which 80% researchers have bachelor degrees.
The average age is less than 30 years old. It is
a young team with excellent professional accomplishment,
devotion, and team spirit. Their majors are pharmacy,
chemistry, biology and also other various fields. |

Equipment:
It possesses advanced experimental devices, mainly
including FT-Infrared Chromatograph, HP High Performance
Liquid Chromatograph, HP Gas Chromatograph, UV-VIS
Recording Spectophotometer, 50L Glass Fermentor,
Automatic Polarimeter, etc. 5% of its annual sales
incomes is invested in R&D. Zhenyuan Pharm will
also expand its investment in R&D to buy updated
and advanced devices to meet the development of
R&D. |

Research Fields:
1. Microbial fermentation antibiotics and high-yield
strains.
2. Semi-synthetic or fully synthetic antibiotics,
e.g. Beta-lactam, Aminoglycoside, Macrolide, Tetracycline
and Carbapenem.
3. Nonsteroidal Antiinflammatory Drugs (COX-2 inhibitor)
4. Cardivascular Drugs: Anticoagulation and antiplatelet
drugs, Antihypertensive agent, Antilipemic agent
(AngⅡReceptor antagonists), Antithrombotic agent
(Statins)

5. Antihyperglycemic Agents: Metformin, α-Glucosidase
inhibitor, Insulin-sensitizing agents.
6. Synthetic peptide and polysaccharide.
7. Natural drugs (Second Class above)
8. Novel drug release system: Sustained-release,
Instant-release, Long-term microcapsule for injection
etc.
Main Achievements: We have successfully developed
a series of products, e.g. Roxithromycin and its
tablets, Netilmicin Sulfate and its injections,
Azithromycin lactobionate for injection, Cefetamet
pivoxil hydrochloride and its capsules and suspensions.
We lay great emphasis on the industrialization
of new drugs. All products have achieved large
scale production, some of which achieve the reading
role in the domestic market. We have got clinical
approval of Second Class New Drug--Lornoxicam
and its tablets, Fourth Class New Drug--Octreotide
Acetate and its injections, both of which are
in the process of clinical trials.
Now, we are developing about 20 new products,
including two new drugs with own intellectual
property, five Second Class New Drugs, eight Fourth
Class New Drugs, and several generic drugs.
Sincere Cooperation: We have built up a closely
long-term cooperation with research institutes
and universities, including Shanghai Institute
of Organic Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of
Science, Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica
of the Chinese Academy of Science, Shanghai Research
Institute of Pharmaceutical Industry, China Pharmaceutical
University, Xian Jiaotong University, Pharmaceutical
Dept. of Zhejiang Polytechnical University, Zhejiang
Medical & Science Academy, and Shandong Research
Institute of Natural Medicines Engineering, etc.
After China’s entry into the WTO, and on the basis
of vast medical culture heritage and fast development
of pharmaceutical industry, we need sustainable
development, and more cooperation. So we sincerely
hope that we can set up closely long-term cooperation
relationship with various universities and institutes
to develop more and more safe and effective drugs
for people.
